Beta Marine Aggregaten

BetaGen 7 & 11

Beta Marine supply both the private user and the commercial market with equipment which ranges from the very small acoustically clad generator sets for private yachts to heavy duty base load applications. Diesel prime movers, generators and motors are based on well proven and internationally recognised makes which means that service parts are available from most outlets worldwide including our own international distributor network, or direct from our factory. Every item produced by us is covered by our standard guarantee and in the unlikely event that warranty work is necessary the Beta Marine service department will be able to assist.

Generating Sets: 41 - 900 kVA

As well as diesel-powered generating sets, Beta Marine produce motor generator sets, frequency converter sets and marine propulsion engines which are manufactured to customer's requirements where dependable quality and reliability are demanded. Although there are several standard ranges, customer's specific requirements can be accommodated as well as those of international and national bodies including marine classification societies (such as LRS, DNV, BV, ABS, GLL, RINA etc.) and the requirements laid down in appropriate standards (such as BS, ISO, NEMA, NFPA, IEE etc.). Marine generating sets are available as standard with heat exchanger cooled engines, which are complete with fresh and raw water pumps with keel cooling or radiator cooling available as alternatives. Starting arrangements are normally by electric motor but air start systems are easily organised as are alternative methods such as hydraulic motor, spring inertia starter etc. Generators are usually single bearing with disc coupling direct to engine flywheel, however, twobearing generators are often specified, in which case a torsionally flexible coupling is fitted. Radio interference suppression to B5800 (VDE grade G) is standard on all generators but the higher marine grade B51597 (VDE grade K) is usually specified. Marine generators are normally designed to have high starting current and short circuit current maintenance characteristics for continuous ratings in ambients which range up to 50°C with heavily salt-laden atmospheres.
